What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?

Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of Personal Information we collect include: names, addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers.

This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including the gathering of email addresses through our website platform, via digital competitions, from our Visitor Information Centre clientele, at trade shows and further.

We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, including the sending of occasional email marketing information for inspiration. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time as all correspondence will have an option to cease receiving. When we collect Personal Information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

How do we collect your personal data?

The following types of personal information may be collected, stored, and used:

  2. Information about your visits to and use of this website including the referral source, length of visit, page views, and website navigation paths.

Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.

Please note that TTC will not provide information to third parties, other than the Tweed Shire Council (who contracts TTC for Destination Marketing support) if applicable for a consistent purpose with those outlined above.

Cookies
